Sending a thank you to Dr. Teynor for handling my dad’s hip surgery 5 years ago. He spent his 91st birthday in the hospital. You looked beyond his age when determining his chance for a successful surgery. We are grateful today as he celebrates 96!

Dr. Teynor is an incredible physician! He replaced my knees in 1996 (R) and 2001 (L). 20 years later, he revised the replacements.I have no pain or stiffness and my knees have never held me back from anything. He is the best. It’s just that simple.

Dr. Teynor and his staff recently performed a total hip replacement for my right hip. I cannot say enough about the great service and results that I experienced from beginning to end. Dr. Teynor was very attentive to my needs and communicated well during each step of the process.

Overall I had an excellent experience with Dr. Teynor and the EXCEL Program. I was in the EXCEL Program for my second knee replacement. There were two things I most appreciated. First, the post surgery care was very personalized and the setting was much better for recovery compared to a hospital. Second, the single bill that covered the entire procedure was much appreciated. I highly recommend this program for those who qualify.

I am a current Twin Cities Orthopedics patient and am scheduled for a total knee arthroplasty in late April.  I want you to know how impressed I am with Dr. Joseph Teynor and his team, Austin Heneman, PA-/C and Care Coordinator Andrea Jacobsen.  Being the husband of a recently retired physician I understand the time pressure that is put on physicians in today’s economy and practice.  Dr. Teynor has given me a great sense of confidence in the upcoming surgery.  The follow through by Dr. Teynor and his team is timely and flawless. His concern for my surgical outcome is remarkable.

Both I and my wife, Rachel Trockman, M.D., have had other joints replaced  by Twin Cities Orthopedics physicians.  Without question we have been totally satisfied with all levels of care that we have received.  We are cheerleaders for the professionalism and responsiveness of your organization.

I found all aspects of my hip replacement, treatment and care to be a great experience. Accommodations, food, and above all, the people who worked on and with me were terrific.

From the beginning I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Teynor and the Excel surgery and recovery team. Dr. Teynor gave me confidence by even including me in the Excel program.

I was prepared in Justina’s class for anything that I might encounter, and throughout the process, she and her “manual” provided me with every answer. Dr. Teynor’s surgery was stellar, very successful (even on the very work state of my knee plagued by a 40+ year old injury).

The staff at York Gardens held me up through the difficult days following surgery, with timely and very professional care, service, and advice. The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy staff challenged me appropriately and Justina gave me calm and hope.

My experience with TCO Physical Therapy was outstanding. My needs were read clearly by Angie and Jen – they kept me accountable, even when I didn’t feel “accelerated”, with patience, humor, and direct communication. I was vulnerable and they knew how to encourage and promote my growth through my resistance. Dr. Troy was ever encouraging and gave clear analysis and helpful advice during my aftercare appointments. Because of this phenomenal staff, I knew what was expected and I was inspired to keep striving, even though some of the recovery was difficult.

I am grateful to Dr. Teynor, Dr. Troy, Justina, Angie, Jen, the nurses on staff at York Gardens, the Physical Therapy on staff at York – to everyone. Excel is an incredible program and I would highly recommend it to anyone, without reservation. Thank you for believing in me, helping me heal and recover and bringing me to this wonderful state of stability.

Dear Dr. Teynor,

After 84 years roaming this planet, my memory has faded somewhat. My wife would probably add and amen to that judgement.

The purpose of this letter relates to the time you planted a new hip on my left side. I believe the operation was performed in the earlt nineties or late eighties, in which case the implant is between 20 and 25 years old.

I have the impression these devices might last around 15 years. And for your information it’s still going strong. No problems whatsoever. Make me think you’re a pretty good sawbones. Incidentally, my right hip was replaced in Pensacola about 6 years ago, and, to be perfectly frank, I wish I had gone back to you. My right foot is now splayed about 30 degrees to the right and at times it is uncomfortable.

I have thought many times about the source of your expertise and have come to the conclusion it might have been your diet of Rocky Mountain oysters given you out in the Montana hinterlands.

Thanks again,
Kenneth

I can stand upright and walk painlessly, again!

This was the least stressful medical event I’ve ever experienced thanks to Dr. Teynor.  Not only am I able to stand up straight, but I can walk, sit, lie down or do any other activity that was previously difficult or impossible.  No pain, no difficulty during recovery, rehab was a breeze; in fact everything has gone so well, that I often forget that I had the procedure.  I would do it again, with out question.

Dr. Teynor replaced my left hip last year and I could not be more pleased with the results. My pain is a distant memory and my posture is better than it has ever been.  I may not be sprinting like I once did but I can walk with the best of them.

Dale B.

Dale B. has been a patient of Joseph Teynor, MD for various orthopedic issues over the years, including his right arm and his knees. After suffering a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder, Dale opted to rehabilitate his shoulder through a physical therapy exercise program. He can now effectively use his shoulder again and is able to serve while playing tennis. Thanks to his positive initial experience with Twin Cities Orthopedics (pictured left to right: Michelle Carrywater, Care Coordinator, Dale, Dr Teynor, Troy Evenson, PA-C) Dale decided to come to Dr. Teynor for the constant pain that had surfaced in both of his knees. “I appreciated his frankness and honesty,” he said. He had his left knee replaced and says it is “working well but my right knee tells me it’s time to be fixed.” Dale plans to have Dr. Teynor perform the surgery within the year.
