I would recommend Dr. Butterfield to anyone and everyone. I saw him after being recommended to TCO by a competitor that new I needed the best in the field. Dr. Butterfield respectfully and compassionately listened to me, then proposed a plan. I had been in horrific pain for a year and had some old injuries that were acting up due to the new issue. He fixed everything! Twenty years of pain gone after one, albeit major, surgery. He is a terrific surgeon. I cannot praise Dr. Butterfield enough.

I came in due to an infection in my finger. Through the whole process, Dr. Butterfield made me feel comfortable. He made it easy to understand everything and came up with a good recovery plan for me. I would recommend him to family and friends. Dr. Butterfield and the whole clinic staff – from receptionists, to nurses, etc. – were great and friendly.

Last year, I remember summer being a challanging time for myself personally, as I started to think about the father/husband I was becoming. I was active with my family (or maybe too active) and I began to pay the paid the price with horrible knee pain. Fast forward to winter and the pain continued to get worse and worse. I decided to head into the doctor. With each visit, I would lose a little hope in returning to my playful ways with kids and activities with my family. Then I finally made my way to TCO, where Dr. Butterfield said he could help. I was excited and nervous about the surgery, but he made it seem easy. I remember waking up from surgery and instantly the pain was gone. It was unbelievable how great I felt and how my life felt on track again…so soon.

One month later, I was back to normal activities and had a large “pop” in my other knee. Again, I went back to my trusted surgeon, Dr. Butterfield, which turned out to be the best decisions I’ve made for my personal health. I had another surgery and so far, it was another success. This sounds overboard, but Dr. Butterfield and TCO have given me the ability to be a active, fun dad again. The smiles on my kids when we’re chasing through the yard is priceless. I saw Dr. Matthew Butterfield who was highly recommended by my cousin, a Vascular Surgeon who only recommends the VERY BEST. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Butterfield. He was professional, caring, and willing to listen. He was so great that he knew exactly what my MRI would most likely say before I even had it done. He was spot on with his diagnosis. He gave me the time I needed away from work to heal as he and I together felt was necessary. I will recommend him to anyone who needs a referral to a great physician. Thank you Dr. Butterfield! I will only see him if I need any future orthopedic needs!!

Dr. Butterfield performed a full knee replacement on my right knee in December 2017. Prior to surgery I was limited with my mobility and had daily knee pain. I have been very happy with the results of my surgery. I am very grateful to have my mobility back. Thank you to all of the care providers involved.

Dr. Butterfield is an extremely knowledgeable, capable, and caring surgeon.  He cared for my teenage son from Urgent Care, MRIs, through surgery, to follow ups.  He consults with other surgeons to ensure he is on top of the latest information.  I would recommend him to any parent needing to hand their child over to a surgeon.

Dr. Butterfield was outstanding, very little pain after surgery, I was back to work in 6 weeks. My shoulder healed up with better motion then I thought I would have. Dr Butterfield was very professional and very concerned about my condition. I have no second thoughts about going back to him again if needed. OUTSTANDING DOCTOR!

After multiple visits to different doctors to diagnose my shoulder problems with no luck, I visited Dr. Butterfield. He took the time to listen to my concerns of the pain and what I wanted to do with my everyday life. ( I wasn’t able to sleep at night and I also did not want to give up crossfit.) After all the tests, it was determined that the only way to help was surgery. Dr. Butterfield took his time to discuss the different ways to correct the problem and also which option was the best. I went to emergency room for my broken ankle and had the surgery the next day. Dr. Butterfield put in a plate and 10 screws. The surgery was amazing and after I didn’t have any nerve damage or other side effects. I am ahead by weeks of the normal recovery. I got very lucky getting a doctor who knew what he was doing. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a surgeon.

Dr. Butterfield fixed my 95 year-old mother’s broken femur.  Within only a few months’ time, she was “up and at ‘em” with the aid of a walker.  Today, she navigates short distances without aid.  From pre-op through the mending process, Dr. Butterfield has earned our respect, trust, and appreciation by exceeding expectations in every way. Had my knee replaced on June 1st by Dr. Butterfield. After months of trying various options to relieve my knee pain, it was decided to do a total knee replacement. Dr. Butterfield did a FANTASTIC job! I have my quality of life back after only 3 months. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
