I had total shoulder replacement in May 2022. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Peterson for any type of orthopedic replacement/repair surgery! He’s an all-around great guy; super friendly, confident and very knowledgeable! I did really well after surgery, had wonderful care at TCO Wyoming, and follow-up was the best with Dr. Peterson and his fabulous team.

I had my left knee done in February. I don’t think you could be treated any better! Dr. Peterson is a star and explained everything in a way a normal person could understand. Christine and Jenna in the office are the absolute nicest people you will ever meet. Molly the physician assistant is great too, I’m so glad I went to them! Christine is so well versed in her job. She is so thorough and dots every “I” and crosses every “T”. Thank you to the whole staff!

Dr. Peterson and his staff were amazing. I would highly recommend Dr. Peterson and the TCO EXCEL program. I had a bi-lateral knee replacement; my left knee in May 2021 and my right knee in August 2021. The care suites used after surgery was the best experience I have ever had. With each stay, there were 2 RN’s to 2 patients. If I needed assistance they responded in a matter of seconds. Dr. Peterson has an outstanding bedside manner. He listened to all of my needs, he is very caring, and kind. He made a very scary experience not so scary.

I have battled with knee pain most of my life. At 15 years old, I tore my right ACL in a softball injury. Back in the 80’s, parents simply didn’t run their children into the doctor. And as a softball catcher, knee protectors were not what they are today. My parents had me treated with chiropractor care, which worked, but my knee was never the same. I had two arthroscopic procedures on my right knee for tears and unidentified floating objects, by a former orthopedic surgeon. In the summer of 2019, I had a pretty significant motorcycle accident and had a de-gloving injury to my left knee. It was very painful. I had one surgery that only temporarily relieved the pain.

In September of 2020, Dr. Peterson recommended a total knee replacement. I was nervous, but Dr. Peterson had done several of my parents’ orthopedic replacements and I knew how well they recovered, so I opted for the replacement. It’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. After 5 months, my left knee feels so good I sometimes forget it’s artificial. Dr. Peterson and his team are outstanding and are the best in their field. I am having my right knee replaced next month and I have no fears, worries, or anticipation of it not going just as well as the first replacement. I highly recommend Dr. Peterson and his whole team. I can’t thank them nearly enough for giving my pain free life back. I am 53 years old now.

From the 1st time I met with Dr. Peterson, I was impressed. He took the time to look at all the past history, the current x-rays and examined my knee. He informed me that I was a good candidate for total knee replacement. When I asked what was involved, he explained the procedure to me including any possible risks that could accompany the procedure. He assured me everything would be done to reduce any chance of the risks, and in doing so made me feel very comfortable about moving forward. Several weeks later I had the surgery and was home the next day. I was up and walking the 1st day following surgery and was able to walk without any assistance in just under two weeks. My 2 week follow up with Dr. Peterson’s P.A. was very pleasant and I was advised everything was going well. I returned to see Dr. Peterson at the 6 week post-op date and I was returned to work with no restrictions.

Dr. Peterson and his entire care team are outstanding in every aspect. When I had questions, and believe me I had plenty, I always received answers the very same day. I would recommend Dr. Peterson and his care team to anyone. They are “TOP NOTCH”. You won’t find anyone better.

I had to have my left hip replaced at only 52 years old. I was scared to do it but Dr. Peterson seemed to really have an understanding of what was needed and was able to put my mind at ease. The surgery went very well and everyone at the Fairview Hospital in Wyoming was fantastic. I needed to be able to get back to work in the gardens and on the tractor as soon as possible. The gardening took a little longer but I was able to get on the mower and tractor by weeks two and three (with a little help from my husband). My one year check-up was this past summer and it’s like I never even had hip trouble.

Highly recommend Dr. Peterson at Twin Cities Orthopedics at Fairview Wyoming. I am a 70 year old male and had surgery on Monday, July 1st 2019. I was up and walking in a walker the next day and was released that same day. Recovery was amazing. I was out of the walker and using a cane in week 2. By the 6^th week, I was done with physical therapy and walking on my own. I was off pain meds within 2 weeks and my scar is minimal. Dr. Peterson was extremely personable and I’m extremely pleased with the results.

Dr. Erik Peterson and his team, Molly, Christine and Jenna are fantastic! They took wonderful care of me when I had my shoulder repaired 2 years ago. I had some post op pain issues and questions and they were always available to answer my questions and help me out day or night. Great experience! I would recommend the team to anyone!

Dr. Peterson had to remove hardware from a previous repair (from a fall last year), so my total hip replacement had some complexity. Dr. Peterson was confident that I would still have a good result. After my surgery on June 20, 2018, I had almost no pain, and I began the required therapy and PT. I was so satisfied with my progress each week, and within 3 weeks, I wasn’t even using my walker nor a cane! On August 24, I even went to the MN State Fair and walked for six hours without help. Dr. Peterson is a very talented surgeon, has a caring and compassionate demeanor, and answers all questions thoroughly. I am 76 years old, and I feel like I have my life back!

Dr. Erik Peterson is a skilled and caring surgeon and he did no less than give me my complete mobility back. I can’t say enough about how well I am doing and how quickly I recovered. Thanks to his and his team’s great care I was back to work in two weeks and now after 4 months have returned to many activities that I thought I would never again be able to do. Thanks again Dr. Peterson!!

The day of my surgery, I got out of bed and knew right away I had a good strong knee. I can’t thank Dr. Peterson enough for giving me my active life back. Thank you for doing a great job on my new knee. Also his staff is very friendly and quick to get back to you with any questions or concerns.

I was referred to Dr. Peterson by the Department of Veteran affairs. The care provided by Dr. Peterson and his staff of professionals is of the highest quality. I was informed from the first appointment as to the complexity of the surgery and the expected outcome, Dr. Peterson and his staff provided therapy protocol that I could give to Minneapolis VA Medical Center under the Veterans Choice Program. The therapy was approved. I believe my outcome and eventual end result will be exactly what Dr. Peterson said to expect. Not like an original but near normal function without the pain.

Dr. Duncan and Dr. Peterson were thorough with my elderly mother.  She was thrilled with each appointment and they each explained the diagnosis that is causing her pain. I am 57 years old and had my right knee replacement surgery on October 4^th, 2017. I also had my left knee replaced just 2 years ago in September 2015.  Both surgeries were performed by Dr. Erik Peterson. He and his care team are rock stars. Dr. Peterson, Christine, Molly and Jenna have always gone above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met at each and every appointment. The pre-surgery and post-surgery care that I received from Dr. Peterson’s team was exceptional, always exceeding my expectations. In both instances, I started with steroid injections managing my knee pain which eventually led to recommendation for knee replacement surgery. My knee surgeries (2 years apart) were both at Fairview Wyoming Hospital, which was very well coordinated by Dr. Peterson’s care team. The nursing staff at Fairview was very attentive. Dr. Peterson’s team and Fairview Hospital were extremely helpful and cooperative when working with me on my goal to return home as quickly as possible. In both instances, I was able to return home with just 1 overnight stay in the hospital, with follow up physical therapy with Curt H. at Courage Kenny Sports & Physical Therapy for approximately 6-8 weeks. Remaining active and committed to a physical therapy regimen has been key to my recovery and has allowed me to return to work after 8 weeks. On a scale of 1 to 10 ranking of the care I have received by Dr. Peterson and his care team, I highly recommend them and give them a 10+ rating.

I had 2 knees replace about 4 months apart and Dr.Peterson’s team gave me the best care ever down to every detail from filling out paperwork, what to expect, surgery, hospital care and follow up visits. When I was in need of an orthopedic surgeon a friend suggested Dr. Erik Peterson. Since then I have had Total Knee Replacement surgery on both knees, one in January of 2016 and the other in January of 2017, and am extremely happy with the results.  From my first appointment to my last follow up I have been impressed with Dr. Peterson.    He made me feel very comfortable, explained things thoroughly and, from the results of my surgeries, is a highly skilled surgeon. My recoveries went extremely well and I know Dr. Peterson’s surgery skills gave me a head start.   Dr. Peterson, his staff at Twin Cities Orthopedics and the staff at Fairview Lakes Hospital were all excellent.  After 10 plus years of pain, I am looking forward to a summer of bike rides, walks, gardening and all the fun things summer brings.  I recommend Dr. Erik Peterson to anyone who needs a great surgeon and have given his contact information to several people suffering like I had.  Thank you, Dr. Peterson for your skilled and exemplary care.

I just want to thank Dr.Erik Peterson and Fairview hospital for the services they provided. I can’t say enough about Dr.Peterson, he listened and explained everything I needed to know about the surgery and recovery time, and everything he said was right on. I was up and walked a few steps the day of surgery, used a walker for almost three weeks, and a cane for three weeks. The only real pain was laying on stitches. The services at Fairview hospital were excellent can’t say enough about the nurses. Thank you all.

I have been pain free since my surgery July 13, 2016.  It was scary but everyone was great.  Dr. Peterson always had such confidence. He was so sure of himself he got me to also believe in him.   I’m so glad I did aside from the immediate pain from the recovery process which was not fun. I would recommend Dr. Peterson and I would do it again.

I had arthritis on my hip and it wasn’t too annoying, but with my Parkinson’s I had two bad falls. My hip must have moved because I was bone on bone and it was extremely painful after that.  I tried shots and therapy, but after the last fall I couldn’t get the surgery done fast enough.  If you are considering this surgery don’t suffer, get it done and improve your quality of life.

January 22nd, 2014 I had my right hip replaced. Dr. Peterson did a perfect surgery. I healed fast and was up walking the same day! Went to PT and OT and they went great. All my visits with Dr. Peterson were great. I recovered perfectly and it is all because of the care I got from Dr. Peterson. He is a wonderful surgeon and he is totally devoted to his profession. He is one of the greatest surgeons I have ever known and I think the world of him. I had my yearly check up in February and all is well.

I had pain in my left knee for many years. Cortisone shots gave only temporary relief and then the pain would return. My total knee replacement was done on February 11, 2016, and now I am pain free. I was able to return to my exercise classes in approximately three weeks. At my follow up visit with Dr. Peterson, I was told my healing was way ahead of schedule. I found Dr. Peterson to be compassionate, comforting, and an excellent surgeon. He truly cared about my overall well-being. I would recommend him to anyone facing total joint replacement.

I had problems with my knee for some time. St. Croix Orthopedics provided knee care, keeping me as pain free as possible. I knew that knee replacement was going to necessary at some point. I am glad that I was under the care of Dr. Peterson when the time came to have my knee replaced. I was very pleased with the professional manner and the care I received while working with him. He took the time to make sure I was well prepared and understood the surgery procedure before my knee replacement. His nurse assistant was very helpful making sure we had all my other health issues addressed that were going on with my life at the time so the surgery could happen as scheduled. The surgery went very well. Dr. Peterson did an excellent job. My recovery was short, was back to work in six weeks, and golfing shortly after that. I have no pain in the knee and I am very pleased with the outcome. I would recommend Dr. Peterson to anyone who is having knee pain and requiring a doctor’s care.

I received a rotator cuff repair from Dr. Peterson in November, 2015. It was my second one on the left shoulder, and my eighth one total between both sides. I feel like this one was my most successful yet. My recovery time was the shortest of all of my other surgeries to this point, and my physical therapy was very abbreviated, due to the excellent job that Dr. Peterson performed on my shoulder. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of undergoing this procedure.
