Hi Dr. Kruse has always listened carefully to my concerns and performed the best possible surgeries on both of my knees. He is excellent!

I shopped two different orthopedic surgeons prior to meeting with Dr. Kruse about my knee. I like many things about Dr. Kruse. First of all, he is honest with his assessment and is personable. He discussed the technical side of my surgery which the other two doctors omitted. As I have suffered with no medial meniscus for years on my left knee, my leg was bowed in. Dr. Kruse explained that he would need to realign my knee which was never brought up with the other doctors. He also put in a different artificial knee than the other two doctors were proposing. The other doctors told me the limitations of their knee. They said I wouldn’t be able to kneel on the knee, no jumping down on the knee, etc. With Dr. Kruse, he said I could run, jump, kneel, etc. As I am a very active person, that really appealed to me. It has been 9 months since my knee replacement. I walked over 3 miles on Labor Day, have walked 9 holes of golf numerous times this summer, can bike again and mow my lawn. I couldn’t do any of these things last summer. I couldn’t be happier. It is like a new lease on life. I would recommend Dr. Kruse to anyone who is considering a joint replacement surgery. He was recommended to me by a friend, now I am paying it forward by recommending him to others.

I was blown away by the overall process and how quickly I was back in action. I am young and in relatively good shape and I was coached by a number of people about how key rehab is. It was crazy to think that in a few short hours, I was on my feet walking the hallways. The rooms and care I received from Dr. Kruse and staff in my short stay were fantastic. Again, I was really blown away with the surgery process, recovery center quality and overall recovery from a major surgery.

40 years ago I had a major knee injury. Basically, I had to live with it and make the best of the situation until (as several orthopedists told me) I knew it was time to do a knee replacement. Last year that time came, and I researched my options regarding locations and orthopedists to perform this procedure. I felt my best option was the EXCEL program at TCO with Dr. Kruse. The EXCEL program is well designed for a person that is motivated to do the work necessary to regain their quality of life. In EXCEL, TCO is there in every step along the way to support you. It’s not easy… it’s hard work… but you always have the TCO staff, as well as the structure of the EXCEL program, to guide you through the journey. Dr. Kruse was great to work with. He was very honest and open about what he could do, and what I needed to do, to make this a success. He has been very supportive and caring through the entire experience. One thing I really liked about EXCEL was the fact that everything I did was “in-house” through TCO and I didn’t need to go anywhere else. Another benefit of this structure was I made one payment to TCO and didn’t have to deal with a mountain of invoices from many different providers.

Hello Mr. Simonson — I just wanted to pass along some positive feedback on my experiences with TCO and the Excel Program.

I had total knee replacement surgery on my left knee in July 2017 and my right knee in November 2017 through the Excel Program and with Dr. Kruse.  I had never had any surgeries until these so I was very nervous about doing it.  But after my first appointment with Dr. Kruse, I was confident I was in good hands and now that it’s all done, I was right!

All of the people I came in contact with from TCO were wonderful.  They always made me feel cared for and treated me like I was their only patient.  Dr. Kruse was so great and made me feel at ease every step of the way.  Everyone at the Minnesota Orthopedic Surgery Center in Fridley as well as the Coon Rapids location where I had all my pre and post appointments and physical therapy were also great.  My recovery time at Bel Rae was very comfortable and the nurses and therapists that worked with me there were amazing as well.

I want to give special mention about the therapists that spent so much time with me, Amy Lindell and Jason Bezdichek.  They are both so skilled at their jobs and were fantastic “coaches” by encouraging me and guiding me through the therapy.  When I would tell them what I was struggling with or pain I was having, they were so caring and tailored the exercises they had me doing and when I followed what they said, it always helped.  I was so lucky to be assigned to them!  I’d appreciate you passing this along to whoever their direct boss is.

Finally and most importantly, since having the surgeries, my quality of life has improved so much.  Being able to simply walk without knee pain has been awesome!  I’ve started using stairs instead of avoiding them and simple household chores have also become so much easier.  And, I’ve already been able to start doing my main hobbies pain free and have enjoyed them so much more (horseback riding and archery).

I’ve already recommended TCO to others and will continue to do so.  Again, a huge thank you to everyone at TCO!

I went in with a lot of pain in my right hip and knee, I was told i needed a new hip. I elected to have this procedure, it was the best thing I could have done. I came out of this surgery with no pain, more mobility and a new outlook on life. I can’t say  enough great things about Dr. Kruse and the staff. I have recommended TCO to many others. Thank you! If anyone tells you that you need a knee replacement, see Dr. Kruse as soon as possible. He and his staff are the best. You are a person to them and you will be getting the best surgeon and care team you can find.  Dr. Kruse is that rare surgeon who not only excels at what he does, but is also a caring human being with a sense of humor. The information packet he provides tells you exactly what to expect both pre and post-surgery. He replaced both my knees within the same year (the second knee decided to go downhill with little warning/injury). My recoveries were excellent. I encourage anyone who needs a knee replaced to have Dr. Kruse do it sooner rather than later.  In the scheme of life, the surgery and recovery are a very short term inconvenience for getting your life back.

As an employee of Twin cities Orthopedics I brought my 8 year old daughter to be seen on 05/25/16 for left knee pain & swelling at the Coon Rapids location. I am extremely pleased with the care that she received from Dr. Kruse and all the assisting staff members. You could not get any better service and care before, during, and after than what you get from Dr. Kruse and his staff. He had to drain some fluid out of her left knee and like any 8 year old she was scared of the needle. She kept pulling her left knee away from him so that he could not do the procedure. Finally after 2 attempts the 3rd time was the charm and Dr. Kruse and his team talked her through it and he was able to get the fluid that he needed for testing. As a parent I had questions that he answered & explained everything in detail to me. Dr. Kruse was kind, caring and a very genuine doctor. When we left her appointment yesterday my daughter turned to me and said, “Mom I really liked him and it didn’t even hurt when he put the needle in my knee.” I would recommend Dr. Kruse to anyone.

Dr. Kruse is an excellent surgeon, who carries out double knee replacements in one operation. His expertise and professionalism coupled with a very caring attitude resulted in an excellent outcome. This has changed my life allowing me to do things which I have not been able do for 10 years. I now have no knee pain or discomfort. I cannot praise Dr. Kruse and his team more highly. I would have no difficulty on recommending to Dr. Kruse and his team to anyone considering replacement knee surgery.
